Hello Turtle Families!

This week we have activities for you to practice your detective skills!

We miss you!

Inside

Letter hunt and match

Writing their name and taping it to the wall.  Write each letter on a sticky note and hide the sticky notes for the kids to find. Then match each sticky note to the letters of their name. Expand by: using siblings names, Mom, Dad, pet names, or even the whole alphabet!

Rainbow Hunt: Search around your house to try and find one item for each color of the rainbow! Pick your favorite color and see how many things you can count in that color in your house. You could even try this outside or instead of looking for colors you could look for shapes (circle, triangle & square).

Sensory

Water Play: Water play is a popular choice in the Turtle Class! You can put lukewarm water in any type of large container (bowl, bucket, pot, pan, tub, etc.). It may be a good idea to put a towel or waterproof material under smaller containers.

You can add almost anything to the water! Here are some suggestions.

-Add soap, shaving cream, or food coloring to the water for added fun

-Use different kitchen utensils to experiment with! Whisks, measuring cups, strainers, etc.

-Make a "Sink or Float" challenge to see what household items float in the water and which ones sink. You can have your Turtle make predictions about what they think will happen!

-Add small manipulative or toys so your Turtle can use their imagination
